Knowledge tells us what is true. Wisdom teaches us how to apply what is true. A person can know many Bible verses and still make foolish decisions. Spiritual maturity starts when God's truth begins to influence our decisions .
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally.”
— James 1:5 (KJV)
Another evidence of spiritual growth is wisdom. As we grow spiritually, we should become better at discerning what is right, what is wrong, what is beneficial, what is dangerous, when to speak, when to remain silent, when to move, and when to wait.
Jesus grew in wisdom, and Scripture teaches us to seek wisdom from God.
Wisdom is particularly important because not every opportunity is from God, not every relationship is beneficial, and not every battle deserves our attention.
A mature believer learns to ask, “What does God want me to do?” rather than merely asking, “What do I want to do?”
Wisdom also changes how we handle money, relationships, time, business, leadership, and responsibility.
Spiritual growth should make us wiser in practical matters.
If we continually repeat the same destructive decisions while claiming to be growing spiritually, something needs to change.
God wants His Word to influence not only what we believe but also how we live.

Prayer
Father, give me wisdom. Help me to see beyond appearances and make decisions that honor You. Deliver me from impulsive decisions and from relying entirely on my own understanding. Let Your Word and Your Spirit guide my choices. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Daily Declaration
I walk in divine wisdom.
I make sound and godly decisions.
I am not controlled by impulse.
God directs my thoughts and choices.
My wisdom increases as I grow in Christ.
